katrinamcollier
Isaac Harvey welcome to Beyond the Damage of Words podcast I was so going to say with MBE but it was just too many words see I can’t do this? Um, we met all memory says it was at the personio conference and then I randomly ran into you on the south bank and then I’ve stalked you on Linkedin but.

00:08.20
Isaac Harvey
Um, nice way.

00:19.46
katrinamcollier
It’s good to have you here. Welcome Welcome! You’re welcome. So the reason I got in touch with you is because I saw your post where you were talking about being given counseling at school and that you never really understood. Why did you ever get.

00:19.85
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes, thanks for having me appreciate it.

00:35.20
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes, yeah, ah yeah I did after transitioning well having the mid Twelveth journey and reerstanding about my own well-being and self.

00:37.57
katrinamcollier
The bottom of the y.

00:51.15
katrinamcollier
And.

00:52.85
Isaac Harvey
That’s when I kind of understood it. But at the time it wasn’t really explained why it was happening but the school so saw something in me that I didn’t and because it wasn’t really because I didn’t really understand it because in her post it said this random lady and they want me to share my thoughts with her. And it didn’t really make sense while I was doing that. So.

01:13.22
katrinamcollier
Yeah I love the person who wrote the comment was I was one of those random ladies which is really gonna be laugh. But yeah, that’s me 1 of those school counsellors but did you feel kind of singled out like what’s it like as a.

01:19.23
Isaac Harvey
Um, yeah, yeah, actually that was funny. Um.

01:31.70
katrinamcollier
Ah, someone who is disabled and is young and it’s at school in those all I mean it’s just being a school’s awful anytime. So did you feel kind of singled out.

01:40.10
Isaac Harvey
Um, yeah I mean I did feel um, definitely single out different in many different aspects and and kind of these barriers I was puttingying on myself. You know, For example. My friends would be in relationships and I wouldn’t be in a relationship. Um, when you’re feeling down like that you feel like you’re the only one who’s down like it so you don’t really want to speak very openly about it. Well they gave me the opportunity to do so and I did it.

01:59.96
katrinamcollier
Um.

02:04.36
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah.

02:12.39
Isaac Harvey
But um, yeah, exactly I don’t speak to random ladies. So yeah, yeah.

02:12.82
katrinamcollier
But that’s because it was a random lady. Ah.

02:18.12
katrinamcollier
Ah, that’s so not true by the way. So not true. You just wheeled on in and spoke to me ah to be fair I was at the front of the room where I was supposed to be though? Yeah, no, but yeah I mean it’s like that’s such a big ass I mean.

02:29.62
Isaac Harvey
Um, that see.

02:33.19
katrinamcollier
That’s a big ask of anybody this is in your teens wasn’t it. It’s yeah it was so awkward at that time who wants to talk about emotions and dating and all awkward. So.

02:37.21
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes, yeah, this was probably in during 6 form.

02:49.63
katrinamcollier
So you said you had a mental health journey tell me more about that. What did that entail.

02:52.55
Isaac Harvey
Um, sure so um, let’s go from the beginning I Guess so ah, but come picture. Keep it short because theres a a lot to the story a like risk.

03:05.14
katrinamcollier
Let’s cool. We’ve got 30 minutes you’re a 27 life chicken. Do it. Ah.

03:10.28
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, okay read. Do it short it that um yeah, so and depend on it’s detail you we to say? Um, yeah so um.

03:16.22
katrinamcollier
Ah, really, it’s longer than 27 minutes when but.

03:23.48
katrinamcollier
Um, as much as you’re comfortable.

03:29.34
Isaac Harvey
As I mentioned about relationships and um, well no when ah so when I left school um a kind was like fed up of school. Um, after just being doing you know the scheduled classes and things and I’ve always had a creative mind.

03:38.60
katrinamcollier
M.

03:47.33
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

03:48.89
Isaac Harvey
So when I left school I said to myself I’m not doing the night five I got do my own thing So I left school um and started doing video creation and filming my adventures like skiing skydiving tourship sailing. And moliating all all these different things that I would be yeah, just thick outright Yeah, my history goes like a while ah that the law. But um.

04:10.92
katrinamcollier
Um, Wow I haven’t seen all of those I’ve only seen a couple of those play the around on the social media. So good.

04:24.67
katrinamcollier
That’s a bad thing.

04:26.10
Isaac Harvey
So I film these videos and I’ll do it because I just enjoyed making these videos and as I was making these videos friends and family kept saying to me. Oh you should really talk about disability that you could really help people’s perspectives and change people’s minds and things.

04:31.20
katrinamcollier
I.

04:45.62
Isaac Harvey
And for why don’ have to do that for it doesn’t really make any sense. You know I like making videos. Why do I need to to work disability. So I kind of ignored my friends at Barilli and they kept telling me that.

04:54.37
katrinamcollier
Is is that because this is how you were born so you haven’t known life differently.

05:02.49
Isaac Harvey
Um I have no life differently and the aspect ah of you know, not being able to use public transport because I mean when I was younger there were steps onto the bus I can’t even get onto the bus train stations weren’t at as accessive as they are now.

05:09.54
katrinamcollier
Okay, oh yeah.

05:19.63
Isaac Harvey
So um, yeah, definitely did feel different but because of the people around me they didn’t really treat me any differently So I kind of had the mindset of finding it easier to overcome obstacles when it came to my disability so I did have that help me. Um.

05:26.78
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

05:38.68
Isaac Harvey
So that’s why I you know whenever I found out things that could be done with a disability I Thought oh yeah, sure why not and then everyone would encouraging me to do that rather than saying well no, you can’t do this and you can’t do that So that really helps her and it is one of those things where.

05:47.43
katrinamcollier
Um.

05:58.00
Isaac Harvey
Helped me gall every morning some days I just for ah, can’t be both to do things today but my disability has always been my biggest strength but I didn’t realize that um as I was going through this mental health journey. Um, so yes I did to.

06:11.93
katrinamcollier
Martin.

06:17.66
Isaac Harvey
Video creation and I loved doing that and I was given ah opportunity to do a public speaking engagement talking about disability and overcoming obstacles and a 4 ok show out I’ll just do that and then I spoke about the different obstacles that.

06:28.34
katrinamcollier
Ah.

06:36.40
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

06:36.62
Isaac Harvey
Mentioned and how I still have a very fulfilling life and people um the audience really liked what I had to say and they gained their standing ovation and and and I remember ah at the end and of a random lady.

06:47.56
katrinamcollier
Um.

06:56.40
Isaac Harvey
Um, I Really love these rather ladies by the way. Um, yeah, ah she came up to me afterwards and she said you know I got a lot of pains in my legs.

07:01.28
katrinamcollier
Yeah, there are lots of random love ladies around to be fair. Ah.

07:13.66
katrinamcollier
And.

07:15.24
Isaac Harvey
And I’m always complaining about life. But after hearing your story I I’ve exchanged my perspective on things and I’m going to achieve life a lot differently and that’s when the first time I’ve saw the impact I was making talking about disability. So I started implementing that into my videos and.

07:20.34
katrinamcollier
And.

07:34.37
Isaac Harvey
Sharing more from a disability perspective and people were learning things from it. But so yeah I was continuing to do that and then I was given an opportunity to do a vlogging workshop um to cut long so short I and it was a competition.

07:34.81
katrinamcollier
Ah.

07:53.83
Isaac Harvey
And I ended up winning that competition in 17 and in school as I mentioned so I you know I want to do always do my own thing and Youtube was one of the things where I really wanted to be successful in it. So I won this award and since it was partnership with.

08:00.74
katrinamcollier
Martin.

08:09.62
katrinamcollier
Um.

08:13.52
Isaac Harvey
Youtube and evening standard things. Um, once once I’d won I was in newspapers I was on the television so I was on this morning. Um and a few other channels and I thought okay this is the big break now.

08:14.80
katrinamcollier
Amazing.

08:29.18
katrinamcollier
And.

08:31.60
Isaac Harvey
I’m gonna get a movie and subscribers I’m gonna have loads of followers loads of money and things like um world. It didn’t happen. Um, it did happen. Yeah yeah, but.

08:35.79
katrinamcollier
Did that happen.

08:42.67
katrinamcollier
Damn it. Ah.

08:47.42
Isaac Harvey
I Let the engagement get to me and for what what I loved doing turned me into on not gang engagement now and I kind of lost motivation for it. So there was that um, ah.

08:48.74
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

09:00.50
katrinamcollier
Is It is it that you sort of you. You had that I mean it’s like the little notification endorphin thing isn’t it but you had it on a bigger scale because suddenly you were on stages and on television and in the evening standard like getting all this attention but it wasn’t following through to allowing you to do. How did that impact you was it. You start feeling really low.

09:20.65
Isaac Harvey
I was fake. Yeah I mean it was like I I was a bit conflicted because on one side I was I really enjoyed making content and showing what I do but on your.

09:34.48
katrinamcollier
Button.

09:37.56
Isaac Harvey
The engagement was getting to me and enough for or was to put me spending hours on these videos and not getting any views because on Youtube I think you know the most I would get was 100 views and I’d put a lot of time and effort into it. But I firstly did because I enjoyed it but because of this.

09:42.89
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah.

09:54.60
Isaac Harvey
Big bazz are for okay, this is the big time now I but make the most of it but it never really happened and that really did affect me and as I was saying I’ve done all these really amazing things. But 1 of those things I didn’t notice notice this was um.

09:55.51
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

10:14.60
Isaac Harvey
Ah, thought to be successful I need to have a good career and be the star and things so that happened and as that was happening going back to the relationships I thought to be happy in life I needed to be in a relationship and because I saw my friends and.

10:30.17
katrinamcollier
Ah.

10:32.87
Isaac Harvey
Again, wanting to be a celebrity or whatever influencer seeing other a celebrities Dana really showed negative aspects in their life and they showed all these relationships and how you know it’s all this happy life and for me. Also yeah.

10:46.70
katrinamcollier
Yeah, it’s all a show real. It’s all like it’s all contrived.

10:54.50
Isaac Harvey
Ah, so I looked at that for all, you know I need to be like them. Um, so I you know can’t be happy otherwise um so so that was happening and then the third thing which happened was I was now seen as this. Inspirational motivational figure and I thought I can’t talk about how honest I’m feeling because if I say harm I’m feeling down today who’s gonna take inspiration from that so you know all those 3 things came together and it really got me to a.

11:22.67
katrinamcollier
Ah.

11:24.77
katrinamcollier
When was this was this still around 2017 yes

11:29.57
Isaac Harvey
No, so this must have been I between 2018 and 2019 around this time so all is is kind of came to oh well. So enough thing I forgot to mention so I eventually did get a girlfriend.

11:36.10
katrinamcollier
But okay.

11:47.27
katrinamcollier
Oh how.

11:49.10
Isaac Harvey
Um, in 18 um, and I was I say oh yeah, this is great but internally I still wasn’t happy and I couldn’t really understand why I wasn’t happy. So I finally got why I finally got one of the things I always wanted and I still wasn’t happy. And because I wasn’t internally happy I became quite selfish and um, what color family. Yeah I won I only go I went to them I needed to make it right? So I became very selfish and obviously being selfish in a relationship doesn’t work out so they didn’t really last.

12:10.76
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

12:18.21
katrinamcollier
Yeah. No.

12:26.76
Isaac Harvey
Too long. Um, and then yeah around a few months after got to a bit of a breaking point. All these things came together and I thought no I really need to take a step back and learn why I’m feeling like this and that’s when um.

12:41.39
katrinamcollier
So what did you do when you got to that moment when you went okay because I said so many times on this podcast I realized something was up and then I didn’t do anything and I’m I I don’t know what I didn’t do like I look back and go Why didn’t I do anything but I didn’t.

12:45.94
Isaac Harvey
So it kind of was it.

12:53.61
Isaac Harvey
Are.

12:59.46
Isaac Harvey
Are.

13:01.39
katrinamcollier
And I want people to do something. So did you have a like a aha moment you where I have to I just need to speak up or I need to do something like what happened right.

13:07.90
Isaac Harvey
So for the journey there were multiple times where like yourself there was I would say I’ll do something and then and then just fall back into the trap and ah and I’ve walked I’ve just done something I learned about it and and I’m still for.

13:19.89
katrinamcollier
Um.

13:27.86
Isaac Harvey
Down to feeling down and sad and all those kind of things internally not happy. Um, but what I realized was I wasn’t actually making an actual step I was just saying I’m doing it. Um I only said I’d make the change but I wasn’t actually doing the action. So yeah I was just.

13:28.70
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

13:46.39
katrinamcollier
Out words words No follow through. Ah.

13:47.48
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, yeah, exactly yeah I was talking no action. Um, its so this breaking point situation. Um, the first thing which popped into my head was um.

13:51.54
katrinamcollier
Ah, yeah, yeah, yeah, pretty cool. Ah.

14:06.12
Isaac Harvey
Have you seen the film Lucy.

14:07.35
katrinamcollier
M ages ago. Yes, but like I you have to refresh my memory.

14:13.57
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, yeah, so but basically it’s a film about um I think scarlet gla and onosus. Not no, it’s um, santo Bull Cook think I can’t remember.

14:22.60
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

14:29.56
katrinamcollier
Well I’m not googling it in the middle of a podcast recording like I saw Scarlett her he yo handsome when you said that but I saw it so long ago I was doing there did I actually watch it I didn’t I wasn’t Harvey Keitel in it as well or am I now really waffling off onto the wrong tangent. Ah.

14:30.71
Isaac Harvey
1 of those actors. Yeah, exactly.

14:41.51
Isaac Harvey
Um.

14:47.33
Isaac Harvey
I have no idea. Um, yeah, yeah, so in that film. Um, the main protagonist used more than 10 percent of her brain power and for some reason that came into my.

14:49.36
katrinamcollier
Anyway, anyway that movie. But.

15:03.53
Isaac Harvey
Head and a thought is its such a weird thing but I I remember that film because I’d watch it maybe 2 3 hree years prior and I thought oh I’m just gonna search that so I searched 10% of your brain on Youtube and that’s where I came across a guy called Bob Proter um and he was talking about the law of attraction and how we think there own speakers do the entit that we create and I was really I was really fascinated by this and sadly it was yeah answer. Ah yeah.

15:26.89
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah, it’s a bit shocking when you first hear it those you’re like early. Oh okay.

15:41.28
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, yeah, it’s like such a revelation Really I was that oh course yeah, everything’s put into perspective now and I really took it for myself to keep watching his videos and then I came came across the importances of meditation.

15:41.46
katrinamcollier
But stop that negative thinking then.

15:46.57
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

15:58.34
katrinamcollier
Um, take you a while to meditate. It took me like several years to be able to meditate. Yeah.

16:00.00
Isaac Harvey
Something I used to mock when I was younger because I I be. Um, yeah think I’m still on that journey. Yeah I’m still on that journey because you know I was one of those people where people say oh meditation and they breathe and right how does that work that you know doesn’t make any sense. But.

16:22.36
katrinamcollier
Have you have you heard like literally this was this morning. So by the time the podcast comes out. It was not on trend anymore probably but the the thing is it’s apparently going down on Tiktok silent walking because bless these poor young things who’ve been totally plugged in their entire lives.

16:25.60
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, have to do yeah.

16:41.97
katrinamcollier
Ah, learning the benefit of not having a headset on and walking just walking and being present. So it’s a bit like you’re saying because meditating makes you do that and it’s quite hard to do that initially. So yeah, so you were just saying bang on trend. You see you were just.

16:46.72
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes, oh yes, on to percent. Yeah, it’s ah it takes.

16:59.88
katrinamcollier
Silently meditating.

16:59.99
Isaac Harvey
Um, yeah, that say I was I there before we became on Trends So um, um, but yeah, it’s it’s um so I learnt about that and I kept learning about that law of attraction and load of different people would speak on it and I was.

17:12.74
katrinamcollier
Um, and.

17:15.18
katrinamcollier
And.

17:17.63
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, really started practicing it and I did that for a whole year and it got to it so a whole year later and I thought yup I’m at a good point now I don’t need to do any more meditation I don’t need to do any more learning about this I’m perfectly fine now. Two weeks later

17:20.51
katrinamcollier
I mean.

17:35.89
katrinamcollier
Ah.

17:37.21
Isaac Harvey
Back to Square one and I said because how did I get here and then I realized it’s a journey involved in an end destination. Yeah exactly yeah, that’s it.

17:42.78
katrinamcollier
It it. It is ah and it never stops the universe went yes sure isaac let us show you flip. Ah.

17:53.80
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, yeah, yeah, ah yeah.

17:54.80
katrinamcollier
That’s that’s what it does. It’s like I gave you a lesson you kind of learn it. But you didn’t really so we just knock you down a pair get you learn it again until you can go down I’ve learned it I’ve got it I’ve got it. This is Verma yeah.

18:04.37
Isaac Harvey
If so yeah I feel like I’m still that journey now and that’s why I also learnt the importances of honesty and that’s how I come across in my posts on Linkedin like to be honest because it’s it’s real.

18:12.49
katrinamcollier
Ah, neither.

18:16.18
katrinamcollier
M.

18:24.50
Isaac Harvey
And we all go through Ups and downs where also ah give me an opportunity to have the perspectives different. You know things for yes. Um.

18:27.80
katrinamcollier
What was it like when you wait when you went on to the apparentlyly professional Social Network professional network. It’s certainly not social. Um, by the way I did see it kind of ironically I did see your post complaining about the impressions.

18:45.29
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes.

18:45.45
katrinamcollier
I Think they make them up anyway because I’m getting engagement and really low visibility as well and I’m sure people are seeing it I see all your posts because is that typical thing we just because we just connected I now see constantly all your posts and you know’s what happened to everyone else. But anyway um, what was it like when you first went on there and you just opened up.

18:51.32
Isaac Harvey
Are.

19:04.49
katrinamcollier
And you laid it all out in the table and you just went. You know I’m just going to be real. How did you feel Actually the second you hit post. What were you thinking as you oh my God I’m telling the world I’m having a shit day. Oh my god.

19:11.97
Isaac Harvey
Um, and so yeah.

19:18.24
Isaac Harvey
Um I saw were any if like to start with when I heard about Linkedin it was always advertised to me as the professional Facebook for oh why do? yeah why do I why do I need another Facebook for it that doesn’t really make any sense but I started.

19:26.31
katrinamcollier
Apparently but.

19:34.44
katrinamcollier
Ah.

19:36.14
Isaac Harvey
On there to talk about wheels and wheelchairs that was like the main premise and I was hoping to parents you get professional people to see what we’re doing sponsors donations all that kind of thing so that was kind of my first premise when I joined Linkedin but then it was july.

19:37.92
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

19:50.98
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah.

19:56.11
Isaac Harvey
Um, and I first heard about July being disability pride month. Um, and I’ve I’ve initially thought disability pride month had to do with pride month but it was totally 2 different things and when I learned about that I kind of.

19:58.97
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

20:14.48
Isaac Harvey
But my own ah take on it and the important story and how I’ve just learned about it and I was kind of the first post on any social media of mine which went viral um or semi-viral where it got 100000

20:16.23
katrinamcollier
M.

20:26.51
katrinamcollier
1

20:31.66
Isaac Harvey
Impressions and many engagements and those people sharing it? Um, so that was kind of like very overwhelming but it was also a time where I realized that people wanted to hear my story and what I have to bring to the table. So yeah, it’s kind of like that’s.

20:34.37
katrinamcollier
That’s nice.

20:45.37
katrinamcollier
You actually spoke your truth and just people just watch. Yeah amazing isn’t it.

20:49.85
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, yeah, people wanted to listen to what I had to have to say and that’s how being able to implement the rules and wheelchairs and other bits. But you know I always come from my own perspective.

21:02.53
katrinamcollier
I quite like that it’s funny because there’s so much talk about Gpt and I mean anyone that knows me I wrote a book called the robot proof recruiter so you can imagine what I think of it. Um, but I’m just like it’s not real. It’s like.

21:13.50
Isaac Harvey
Um.

21:15.89
katrinamcollier
Polished Pr ah videos that we had back in the day that nobody believed everyone wants the real like there’s the real you doing this. They can be fun. Don’t get me wrong, but they don’t want them so polished they’re not believable and I feel like it’s like posts if you really write it and it’s genuinely your emotions.

21:22.42
Isaac Harvey
Um, yeah.

21:32.82
katrinamcollier
That people really resonate with that.

21:35.27
Isaac Harvey
Um, it’s true. Um, but I might um might say something a bit controversial here.

21:37.66
katrinamcollier
Oh god don’t tell you use Gp and I’ve fallen for it damn it I believed all of your posts I believed them all.

21:48.10
Isaac Harvey
Ah, now I um so for first two years on Linkedin well for majority of time on my Linkedin I wrote the post myself. Um, and they all generally mine but per post.

21:56.98
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah, yeah, um.

22:04.36
Isaac Harvey
Sometimes it’re taking me 30 to 45 minutes per post and with everything I’m doing and it doesn’t look but no, no, no wait listen listened listened right? They Larry Ref fit the shirts before you judge.

22:08.68
katrinamcollier
Right? Ah, we’re cheating now. Ah.

22:19.97
katrinamcollier
Ah, are the judgments there read this case. Ah.

22:21.98
Isaac Harvey
The yeah so it’s not very sustainable and there’s a lot of things going on behind in the scene. So what I’ve been doing now is I have been using chat gbt but only as.

22:29.79
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah.

A template that I change to my own wording I don’t just use shadow and stick out because that that wouldn’t feel right for me to do but I use a more as template now and that 40 minutes has now been cut to twenty ten minutes now where I can get my forts out but it’s just give me.

22:41.18
katrinamcollier
Okay.

22:49.33
katrinamcollier
Um.

22:53.45
katrinamcollier
Okay, currently reading your old posts and seeing if I believe them.

22:58.83
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, saves me time they all real trusts me I mean you if you you wouldn’t know when I started using it or not because I still keep it authentic. So.

23:13.25
katrinamcollier
Yeah, and I think that’s the really important part. Ah, my other concern is um I spoke it. We are developers and Tim Berners Lee spoke he gave the keynote and he’s saying. Our personal information isn’t ring fenced. It isn’t safe. So like if you’re putting your intellectual property in an air where’s it go and that’s my worry if it’s creating. Youre using a template and then you’re rewording and maybe that’s ok so what’s next does you.

23:32.99
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes.

23:40.94
Isaac Harvey
Um, we saving a lot time.

23:41.65
katrinamcollier
As you as you I’ve seen you’ve had extra extraordinary growth on there with your you know I mean so obviously there’s people are wanting to hear your story and wanting to hear so that they know what they can do I mean I know until I dated a double amputee until I had that experience. Ah, didn’t understand how inaccessible everything was for example, so is that your plan is that your future keep using the videos What’s what’s your ultimate dream. What’s isaac two point two two point zero

24:12.78
Isaac Harvey
Um’s ah, it’s a good fly because um, there was a stage where so again going through this journey. Um, theres a stage where I didn’t really have out. No sorry they saw again I there a point who.

24:19.41
katrinamcollier
And.

24:31.60
Isaac Harvey
I’ll speaking of like so big there. Um I’m now going with left going with the flow and allowing me to have a bit more of an open mind about different things and I’ve got and because of that I’ve got involved in things that I Never really.

24:34.28
katrinamcollier
That’s okay, yeah.

24:43.78
katrinamcollier
Um.

24:49.11
Isaac Harvey
Would think I’ll ever get involved in and I’ve taken a step to get out of my comfort zone. Um, for example, you know one being London fashion week modeling was never yes yeah well thanks to Linkedin it all happened actually.

24:52.91
katrinamcollier
Me. Yes I Saw that tell me more hadn’t that come about wow.

25:09.40
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes I got reached out from adaptive clothing Brand I hi in and they saw what I was doing with rules and wheelchairs and yeah it got me to do modeling and adaptive clothing because you know adaptive clothing wasn’t.

25:14.21
katrinamcollier
Magnet thing.

25:22.99
katrinamcollier
You look like you really really loved that by the way.

25:27.79
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, mean is it’s a very interesting space to be in. Um, you’ve you learn a lot about the community and the fashion space and how that’s not very I mean evolves a lot of drama and a lot of craziness behind the scenes. But.

25:32.71
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah.

25:37.99
katrinamcollier
Um.

25:47.22
Isaac Harvey
Yeah I think ol oil is it’s something that’s worth talking about and really showing because clothing is one of those things where people just beat is on how much choice so you know trying to change that narrative is good but it does come with this craziness. Yeah.

25:58.62
katrinamcollier
Um.

26:01.63
katrinamcollier
Yeah, it’s fair. It’s a huge facade isn’t it that you know thinking of earlier when you were talking about the celebrities and thinking that they have these great relationships but of course of course they don’t thatve ups and downs like everybody does that a facade that’s being created So have you found your.

26:06.12
Isaac Harvey
Are in.

26:15.85
Isaac Harvey
Um, absolutely yes.

26:20.96
katrinamcollier
In a happy. Oh you is that a work in progress because of course that’s that’s the thing that’ll make you happy in a isaac in isaac I think that’s really cool. Actually it should have a Hashtag. Ah.

26:30.32
Isaac Harvey
Um, the inner eyes like um yeah I mean I’m gonna take it. Um and I’m gonna paint into it and it’s mine now. So I’m the.

26:39.11
katrinamcollier
Um, yeah, get some random lady. Ah.

26:45.58
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, yeah, um, yeah, ah is a kenish random ladies um say.

26:51.78
katrinamcollier
Um I think I’m gonna take that one come like that kind of work out in there somewhere.

27:00.20
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

27:06.48
katrinamcollier
Ah, can see it now bold headlines. No so what’s next come on Tell me what’s next up, let’s got to be part of it I think.

27:12.58
Isaac Harvey
Ah, yeah, that um well let me ask your first question first though. So um, do.

27:21.58
Isaac Harvey
Yeah, so internal happiness I mean yeah I feel I’m at that point now and you know to these past couple of days I’ve been learning I’ve been going back on the track of mind and thoughts and learning about that again. So it’s nice to refresh them.

27:36.22
katrinamcollier
And then.

27:40.40
Isaac Harvey
And then the yeah what I’ve learned before and learned it again. So yeah, um, yeah, so work progress but I feel like I am there and I I’m a lot more mindful now as well.

27:42.31
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

27:47.56
katrinamcollier
It by the words. Always I mean it’s it’s always working progress I’ve done 12 years you know I’ve worked with people for 12 years to overcome my my childhood drama and I still will catch myself now having a thought pattern and you know what am I thinking about that for like.

28:00.34
Isaac Harvey
Are.

28:06.96
katrinamcollier
Rip The hand breakke on Let’s just reset that thought pattern and it’s it takes work. It’s it’s not as easy. It’s not an easy process. But the fact you’re doing it. It’s just it’s it’s life changing. So.

28:09.26
Isaac Harvey
Um, he Yes yes it does.. It’s not an overnight. Oh absolutely? Yes, yeah, totally new perspective on things and it’s really la me to yes. See things in a whole different life.

28:26.86
katrinamcollier
Yeah, which is cool. So if people wanted to get in touch with you to discover more about you is there somewhere they go other than Linkedin um, do you have a website as well with all the things out to it. Um.

28:39.50
Isaac Harvey
Um I don’t I don’t have a website. Um, but I do mainly on Linkedin I do have Instagram but I don’t really post it as much what you can find out at I am Isaac Farby um and wheels and wheelchairs are saying I’m trying to post more about and what we’re doing and the amount fraivity. Ah so we’ve just taken part in the burn in Maron and we’re looking to. Yes.

28:57.60
katrinamcollier
So what are you doing tell us more about that.

29:05.00
katrinamcollier
Oh so. That’s what I saw when the so you’re in the wheelchair with all these people and roller blades is that right? it did look crazy fun.

29:12.81
Isaac Harvey
That’s correct. That’s correct. Yeah yeah, always it’s amazing I mean it’s allow me to stay in Istanbul Paris it’s just like saying I never thought’d ever get involved in but such a great community to be above.

29:26.94
katrinamcollier
As she so what when you travel I can’t imagine what istanbul was like that must have been challenging. What’s the country that well actually what city if you let’s go city has made it the easiest for you I bet it’s not London there.

29:35.96
Isaac Harvey
Um, a.

29:41.54
Isaac Harvey
Um, the easiest. ah ah I mean oh that’s definitely London now London now is really good I mean I can now go to a train station and.

29:46.77
katrinamcollier
Give me that feeling of independence. Okay, that’s good.

29:58.58
Isaac Harvey
They held me onto the train call a person that it’s call the station ahead that I’m coming and then they help me with the lift some things so that’s ah yeah, it land is a lot better than it was. It’s still not perfect, but it’s come a long way. It’s come a long way and I’m very grateful for that.

29:59.71
katrinamcollier
And.

30:08.90
katrinamcollier
That’s good.

30:15.35
katrinamcollier
There’s a lot of gutters without dishes in them so that you could just wheel off that was one of the biggest thing I noticed was that when I was dating swifty I hadn’t clocked that you can’t just wheel off like because we don’t think about it. That’s the.

30:18.19
Isaac Harvey
If he.

30:28.75
Isaac Harvey
Um, except yeah, yeah.

30:31.22
katrinamcollier
That’s right? So it’s so that’s why you have to speak up. It’s not fair because the the burden should be on us not on you but we just don’t see it. It’s literally just like yeah.

30:40.62
Isaac Harvey
But I also believe you know if you if you don’t if people don’t know something then they don’t know so you know that’s why it’s good to learn these things. Um and our quick story. It’s just a funny one in um America so I’ve been to America a couple of times.

30:43.68
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

30:49.34
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

30:57.71
Isaac Harvey
Um, and so here in here in England we go on the bus and then I just put the chair in the in the wheelchair space and then the driver just drives off when I went to meck for the first time. Ah, we were getting this was in Ohio and we’re going to get a bus to.

31:02.88
katrinamcollier
Um.

31:05.90
katrinamcollier
And.

31:13.28
katrinamcollier
Yeah.

31:17.48
Isaac Harvey
From the airport to the main cinnna. Um, so we go to the bus. Um, it was kind of like a really different way of doing it so like had a lift up onto the bus going to the wheelchair space and the driver comes out of a seat.

31:20.41
katrinamcollier
Yeah, yeah.

31:35.99
Isaac Harvey
And I’m thinking of course what I’ve done. You know what was what the Java came and he clamped the chair in and put a ah belt over me and I thought wow you know it really keeps the chair safe and I thought.

31:39.86
katrinamcollier
Ah, so I do that wrong I haven’t reversed in right? Ah yeah.

31:52.83
Isaac Harvey
No way doubt happening in London no one would have the patience to wait for? yeah.

31:52.94
katrinamcollier
Not hold on people hold on. You could just roll down the aisle. But I mean I I reckon London I mean.

32:04.15
Isaac Harvey
Um.

32:06.34
katrinamcollier
Bless them. What an awful job to drive a bus in London but I swear they go oh look. There’s someone walking down the stairs that’s a good time to hit the brakes. So there’s no way they’re going to care about you and your wheelchair. Ah I swear they do it on purpose because they can see ah.

32:15.33
Isaac Harvey
Um, yeah, the kind of cheap rep.

32:24.68
katrinamcollier
They got to have their entertainment because it’s such a horrible job and nobody talks to them and then if you do they grunt at you because you talk to them So it’s like you can’t win. Ah, that’s that’s actually yeah, that’s really cool. They strapped you in there.

32:35.25
Isaac Harvey
Um, I always say thank you.

32:40.80
Isaac Harvey
Um, yeah I mean he saying I’ve never obviously seen before L Four is yeah beautiful I yeah.

32:43.14
katrinamcollier
How do you say? Thank you? What do you do roll to the front. How does let just ignore you I’ve tried you have to get off the back door. But.

32:54.46
Isaac Harvey
Ah, ah now Well what I do is I I shout Thank you before I get off all I go to the front and then just give the driver a nod and they sometimes acknowledge it.

33:04.97
katrinamcollier
Ah, okay, I’m going to try Harder I Actually avoid getting on the bus but I’ll try Harder I Always I always have this little moment when the train’s coming into the train station though is sort of like being a bit of an idiot I Always we like waving at the driver. But.

33:12.73
Isaac Harvey
Um, ah.

33:20.86
katrinamcollier
But myself every time and think oh, it’s just like this in a child comes out wants to play. Ah well thank you so much for all of that. Um I will put all the links in the podcast notes, etc and on my website so that we can link to your wheels.

33:28.40
Isaac Harvey
Um, yes, um.

33:39.90
katrinamcollier
But that wheels for wheelchairs are the other way around wheels and wheelchairs. Ah because that’s really cool and obviously your Linkedin profile so everyone can find you but thank you so much. You’re welcome.

33:41.50
Isaac Harvey
Um, we was in riches. Yeah.

33:48.31
Isaac Harvey
